Welcome to Global Direct Procurement 

Global Direct Procurement, part of our Operations division, plays a critical role in enabling Novonesis’ growth by driving value creation across our supply chain. We strive to balance value creation, cost, sustainability, and risk for the betterment of Novonesis. 

We manage raw materials, utilities, contract manufacturing (CMO), and insourced materials, balancing cost, sustainability, and risk in close collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.

We operate across key regions worldwide, including Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, North America, and South America, and manage six strategic categories: Agriculture, Chemicals, CMO, Dairy, Process Aids, and Utilities & Renewable Electricity. 

With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and efficiency, we strive to elevate the procurement experience within our organization. Our dedicated team is driven by a passion for delivering high-quality results and fostering strong supplier relationships. Together, we work diligently to optimize processes, drive cost savings, and uphold the highest standards of integrity.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

•    Lead transformational projects with global scope, impacting multiple categories and regions
•    Support management and category managers in implementation of synergy optimization
•    Participate in developing and implementing global risk models
•    Coordinate and manage both short-term and long-term global initiatives across regions, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy
•    Coordinating yearly processes
•    Foster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including operations, sustainability, quality, finance, and legal teams

To succeed you preferably hold:

•    Proven experience within strategic sourcing/procurement, or consulting, ideally with a focus on Direct Procurement
•    Experience in regulated industries such as Chemicals, Biotech, Food, or Life Sciences is highly preferred
•    Strong negotiation, contract management, and project management skills
•    A strategic, innovative mindset with the ability to influence and drive change in complex global environments
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
•    Comfortable working in a complex, changing, and global environment
