Purpose of the Position

The Senior Procurement Manager, Creative Content is responsible for the procurement of services at the best possible price and sustainable quality, minimizing the exposure to potential risk and in compliance with the Global procurement strategy.

Assist in the development, execution and compliance of the PRNA Procurement Policy and procedures. This includes working cross functionally to maximize value to PRNA and minimize risk through the selection, evaluation, contract development and on-going management of suppliers across the entire value chain. Support the development and management of vendor score cards, vendor KPIs, SLAs and contracts, creating worksheets and related analysis and reporting. Identify savings opportunities and work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver.

Collaborate with both PRNA Market and Brand Companies to meet their requests and co-build procurement strategy.

Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Support the building of the global PSL (preferred suppliers’ list) and conducts the local vendor management programs (Quarterly Business Reviews, Performance Review, Issue Resolution, etc.).
  • Qualifies local vendors where required through a rigorous vetting process
  • Manages the competitive bidding process for each unique job for the production services and negotiates the ‘should cost’ for creative agencies.
  • Manage the very specific NorAm market heavily driven by the SAG-AFTRA & other unions requirements (talent payroll, business affairs, etc.).
  • Oversight of engineering calculations and analysis related to process design and equipment selections.
  • Define project scope and develop preliminary engineering drawings such as layouts, P&IDs and PFDs.
  • Help develop the procurement strategy at the local level by collaborating effectively with HQ Procurement.
  • Implement regional and local sourcing strategies while adhering to procurement policies and considering Global S&R objectives.
  • Actively collaborate with global, regional, and local business teams to ensure delivery on business needs, embodying the new posture of procurement as business partners with direct contribution to value creation.
  • Lead major negotiations to maximize value in Indirect procurement categories.
  • Manage the strategic sourcing and negotiation processes (1-on-1 negotiations, local / regional tenders, etc.).
  • Negotiate, the best optimal terms and conditions and other aspects of supply.
  • Prepare and issue timely contractual agreements in consultation with the relevant departments.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships at regional and local level: act as key interface with regional and local supplier & build strong and privileged relationships.
  • Resolve supplier contractual issues and claims to optimize performance of the business.
  • Manage demand and identify performance opportunities by challenging internal stakeholder requests.
  • Actively collaborate with business functions to co-build procurement strategy and leverage complimentary skills.
  • Establish, harmonize, and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure cost optimization and efficiency.
  • Actively participates in the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation: lead development and implementation of best practices, procurement tools and processes, and implementation of global initiatives.
  • Ensure the follow-up of the relationship with suppliers, monitoring internal progress plans.
  • Set KPIs and targets to track team performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide Management with reports as requested including but not limited to summarising key activities and issues, governance, S&R, savings, Supplier Diversity, and improvements achieved.
  • Be an active member of the procurement community: Participate in the sharing of best practices and improvement of various documents (benchmarks, guidelines, monitoring purchasing performance, etc.).

Skills & Requirements

  • Strategic Sourcing & contract negotiations
  • Commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines
  • Good understanding of Consumer Products/Beverage industry is preferred but not required
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of Marketing Agencies with a focus on creative and content creation

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors' degree in business, or related field
  • + 4-year experience in A&P and BS

  • Business travels to be expected: 5%-10%

The salary range for this role, based in New York is $130,720.00 to $163,000.00.

The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
