The Senior Procurement Lead Site Services is responsible for performing the role of key contact point for procurement of services and investments at the assigned site(s) in the STO network. Responsibility for achieving global strategic procurement objectives at the country business level within the area of responsibility, as well as for successfully managing relevant KPIs related to productivity, compliance measurements, processes, user satisfaction, and, where necessary, people and employee development. Responsibility for introducing and monitoring preferred supplier concepts, with the aim of increasing value and reducing the number of suppliers. Responsibility also for successfully managing and developing relationships that are important for business with stakeholders and with key suppliers in the area of responsibility, with the goal of increasing value for Sandoz. If needed, responsible for supporting, coaching and leading a team with country procurement leads and for developing procurement capabilities and key talents. Acting in compliance with legislation, internal regulations, good practices, and business objectives. Responsibility for managing and developing colleagues

Your responsibilities will include:

  •  Ensure/implement strategic objectives for procurement of services and investments at the locations in scope, derived from the overall procurement strategy.
  • Responsibility for objectives related to productivity and cost efficiency within the area of responsibility.
  • Responsibility for key compliance metrics, such as compliance in ordering and process compliance in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide support to centrally managed processes (e.g., Sandoz Financial Controls, TPRM – Third Party Risk Management).
  • Successfully execute global, regional, and local projects across various categories and functions, ensuring alignment of key stakeholders and customer/user satisfaction.
  • Manage the quality of end-to-end procurement processes at site/country level, including compliance with policies, strategies, and processes.
  • Provide support to ensure smooth integration of service centers.
  • Manage relationships with (management and executive) stakeholders.
  • Act as the key contact point for stakeholders in the area of responsibility, building effective relationships based on mutual trust and understanding.
  • Understand business priorities and ensure that procurement activities effectively support business strategies.
  • Communicate important business information to local teams, global/regional category management, and procurement leads.
  • Execute the Source-to-Contract process, including appropriate strategies, approaches, and methods: prepare and lead fact-based negotiations. Apply suitable negotiation tactics to achieve results that support business and procurement objectives.
  • Manage and build effective relationships with key suppliers in the area of responsibility to ensure Sandoz gains value through cost efficiency and access to innovation.
  • Ensure effective implementation of global supplier strategies (e.g., introduction of strategic suppliers, contractual principles, execution of global/regional contracts) at the local level.
  • Manage local suppliers in the area of responsibility in line with business strategies and global procurement objectives and strategies (e.g., payment terms, tail spend supplier management, local supplier management processes).
  •  Ensure effective communication between different Procurement functions.
  • Act as the main contact for stakeholders for the relevant area of responsibility.
  • Responsibility for personal and professional development.
  • Implement and comply with all instructions and requirements to ensure safe work, environmental protection, and asset safeguarding.
  • Perform other tasks defined in the annual goal-setting and performance review process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or based on special appointment.

What you need to bring to the role:

  • University/Advanced level degree needed.
  • Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in the Economics, Finance or related areas is preferred.
  • Fluent English is a must (excellence in speaking and writing)
  • Advanced French or Spanish are desirable.
  • >10 years of relevant business experience
  • >8 years of experience in Procurement or other related experience within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, energy or automotive industry, preferably in category management, supplier management, or related area, with a focus in the manufacturing site services domain.
  • Business acumen and analytical thinker
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation, project management or other leadership experience.
