The Role

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES1. Procurement Process Execution & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all existing policies and procedures surrounding the Purchasing, PR/PO lifecycle, and New Supplier Onboarding processes (U.S. and International), while educating the business on required adherence

  • Monitor and manage all new supplier requests and procurement engagements flowing through the Procurement system, tickets, email, and other internal communication channels

  • Assist business stakeholders with the required next steps and guidance throughout the engagement, while managing and communicating expectations on turnaround time

  • Collaborate directly with Snowflake’s Legal and Security departments to ensure vendor compliance with the required Vendor Risk Assessment and contractual requirements

  • Maintain a clear understanding of banking requirements to ensure successful and compliant payments to global vendors, working closely with Accounts Payable

2. System Management, Documentation, & Change Management
  • Support new Procurement system implementation(s), maintenance, and ongoing configuration efforts

  • Actively identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline and optimize core Procurement processes (e.g., invoice processing, risk assessment, supplier classification)

  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and distribution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process guides for all core Procurement functions to ensure consistency and compliance

  • Design, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements, patches, and new module deployments to ensure functional alignment with business needs

  • Drive change management activities related to new system features or process rollouts, developing training materials and conducting sessions to ensure high user adoption across internal teams

  • Consistently monitor the Supplier Onboarding and general Supplier Management processes for both U.S. and abroad, actively identifying gaps and areas for systemic improvement

  • Take ownership of specific assigned Supplier Onboarding and general Procurement system areas and processes, driving them to successful optimization

3. Stakeholder and Supplier Engagement
  • Serve as a dedicated Procurement partner and liaison to the business, ready to support all designated functions, Procurement projects, and vendor management activities.

  • Build effective, strategic relationships with the business, vendors, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, AP, Legal), maintaining confidence and consistent correspondence regarding pending action items

  • Communicate with new and existing suppliers directly—via email and verbal channels—to follow up on questions, gather further information, and collect necessary documentation to complete Supplier Onboarding and general maintenance tasks correctly

  • Support the team in measuring, managing, and improving supplier performance against negotiated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and established quality metrics

  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and administrative ability in all procurement and process activities

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), the PR/PO lifecycle, and both U.S. and International Supplier Onboarding/Management

  • Understanding of Global Indirect Procurement

  • Prior experience in a high tech company is strongly preferred

  • Understanding of accounting/finance practices, with experience working directly with Accounts Payable

  • Proven ability to drive positive change and build strong stakeholder relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams

  • Self-starter who can build Supplier Onboarding & Supplier Management credibility within groups not accustomed to working with procurement
