Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for identifying and procuring goods and services required by the organization. Collaborate with business units to define requirements, source third-party solutions, negotiate pricing, and manage the purchase and delivery of goods and services. Support Exeter’s Procurement processes and provide routine administrative assistance.

Job Duties

  • Administer and manage contracts, including proactive management of contract renewals, change-orders, and resolution of issues or disputes, including managing the supplier’s onboarding/off-boarding process.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with vendors, internal vendor managers, and business partners, and serve as a key liaison.
  • Develop, issue, and manage complex Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as well as bids and quotes.
  • Conduct market research and cost analysis to find the best suppliers and maximize value.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers on terms, pricing, and contracts for major projects.
  • Conduct data analysis to inform strategic decision-making, including developing and presenting comprehensive reports and dashboards on procurement performance.
  • Analyze and process purchase requisitions in collaboration with Finance and business partners.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain procurement communications and internal activities, including management of procurement mailbox within SLA Guidelines.
  • Provide guidance, training, and technical assistance to lower-level procurement staff.

Education and Work Experience

  • College degree in Business Management, Finance or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years of procurement experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Word preferred.
  • Adaptive learner and ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all departments.
  • Friendly attitude and excellent people skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Working knowledge of COUPA.
