We're seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Procurement Advisor to join our Brisbane-based team.
As part of a group of 11 across Australia and a larger global team, you'll work on major mining and minerals processing projects, leading end-to-end procurement activities, sourcing strategies, tendering and commercial negotiations, and building strong supplier relationships that contribute to project success.
You'll also mentor and support a small team of Advisors, helping to develop capability, share knowledge and foster a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive successful project delivery.
- Procure major equipment packages, bulk materials, construction services and subcontract works.
- Lead procurement from planning through to contract execution and supplier delivery.
- Manage tendering, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations and contract administration activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
- Partner closely with engineering, construction, planning and commercial teams to achieve project objectives and schedules.
- Mentor and support a small team of Procurement Advisors while driving procurement performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
What we're looking for:
- Procurement experience within EPC/EPCM, engineering, mining, construction or similar project-based environments.
- Strong capability across procurement planning, sourcing, tendering and supplier management.
- Commercial acumen and confidence negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
- Proven ability to procure major equipment, construction services and project delivery packages.
- Previous leadership, mentoring or team supervision experience.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to critical project schedules.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proactive, organised approach.
