About the Role

The Senior Processor Implementation Manager is a senior individual contributor role within ChimeCore’s Processor Operations function, focused on ensuring the reliable implementation, validation, and operational readiness of payment processors, funds flows, and platform changes across ChimeCore. This role exists to apply deep system knowledge, operational judgment, and data expertise to complex payment workflows while partnering closely with Engineering, Accounting, Finance and Banks Operations teams. Success in this role is defined by high-quality implementations, faster issue resolution, and strong cross-functional trust.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $156,000 and up to $215,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role you can expect to
  • Lead complex processor implementations, migrations, and platform changes within defined Processor Operations scope, ensuring operational readiness and clear handoff to steady-state owners.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ChimeCore payment flows, transaction lifecycles, and data models across multiple payment rails.
  • Partner with Engineering to review changes, validate operational assumptions, and surface downstream impacts, running it by leadership where approval authority is required.
  • Support Accounting, Audit, Risk, and Finance by interpreting platform behavior and transaction data to aid investigations and reporting
  • Participate in incident response and escalations by driving investigation, proposing hypotheses, and supporting remediation, with accountability shared across owning teams.
  • Define expected versus anomalous processor behavior and contribute to the design of monitors and alerts in partnership with Engineering and Processor Operations.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and SQL-based investigations to support reconciliation research root-cause analysis and be able to articulate the finding to a broader audience. Produce clear documentation of processor behavior, funds flows, and operational nuances to reduce dependency on individual knowledge.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Implementation and Reconciliation Managers, providing implementation context and guidance while avoiding single-threaded dependency.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • 8+ years in bank and/or payment operations with a broad understanding of operations; including accounting, funds flow, settlement, processing, etc.
  • A strong reconciliation background
  • An understanding of the end-to-end payments ecosystem, including payment methods, card networks, issuer processing, and the regulatory environment
  • An understanding of ACH originations, returns, settlements and everything in between, AAP certification is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with network operations including Visa, Mastercard, PLUS, and Star, as well as with network vendors that facilitate AFT/OCT payments and other forms of card-based money movement
  • Extensive experience with Google Office (Sheets, Docs and Slides), analytics platforms (Looker, Snowflake), SQL, core banking systems and related products.
  • Experience working cross functionally with Product, Accounting, Compliance, Legal, Risk & Engineering to identify, evaluate and size opportunities and prioritize work
  • Experience driving continuous improvement projects, where you’ve applied deep knowledge to uncover and execute both short term and long term optimizations
  • A member obsessed mindset, eager to learn and improve the user experience
  • A curious and creative problem solving ability - can facilitate resolution of issues in a timely manner by working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
  • Excellent business acumen, communication skills and a self-starting attitude

What We Do

Chime was created because we believe everyone can Unlock Financial Progress, and we want to develop solutions and services to empower people to succeed. The premise upon which we started Chime is simple: basic banking services should be helpful, transparent, and easy. Our suite of tools and platforms give our members the ability to have more control over their money and to take action toward achieving their financial ambitions. By designing a member-centric banking app with easy-to-understand financial tools, we’re creating a more competitive market with options for everyday Americans. We offer access to accounts with no overdraft fees, providing members the chance to receive their pay up to 2 days early* with direct deposit, build credit history, and develop financial literacy to hit their goals—among many other things. Since 2012, we’ve grown our team to more than 1500 Chimers across 3 offices. But more than that, we’ve expanded the products and services we offer to our members based on their feedback. And in doing so, we’ve disrupted the banking industry and changed the conversation for everyday people about money on a national level. Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services are provided by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., Members FDIC. *Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.

Why Work With Us

We’ve crafted a culture that’s grounded in our core values and always focused on our members. We’re civic-minded innovators who take action to bring people together to accelerate equity and prosperity. We embrace our humanity, treat each other with respect and kindness, and are driven to make an impact on our members and communities far and wide.
