As a Senior Process Engineer based in Visp, Switzerland, you will play a key role in executing engineering tasks within capital project environments. Your expertise will support both ongoing production operations and the introduction of new processes. Acting as the primary contact for engineering studies, design evaluations, and process optimizations, you will help enhance plant efficiency and reliability. Additionally, you will promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all work aligns with relevant safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead project management activities for capital projects in the pre-CAR and/or execution phases, ensuring adherence to performance targets, schedules, and budget constraints.
Develop cost estimates for engineering and construction work, prepare contract documentation, and support equipment procurement through specification development.
Deliver engineering solutions aimed at extending equipment lifespan and increasing plant profitability. Collaborate with plant personnel to identify, develop, and manage continuous improvement initiatives.
Explore and evaluate new technologies within your area of expertise to further enhance plant performance and profitability.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master’s or PhD is preferred.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in process engineering within an industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience in project management and process improvement.
Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven decision-making approach.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and lead initiatives.
Proficiency in SAP.
Fluency in both English and German is required.
