We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with 15+ years of experience to join our Brisbane team to deliver conventional oil & gas and carbon capture pipeline projects. The role will be accountable for regular face-to-face liaison with our clients, and to provide leadership for the successful execution of capital projects.

What You’ll Do
Technical Support
- Lead process engineering design activities across feasibility, conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases
- Perform and oversee process simulations and modelling (HYSYS) for oil & gas and carbon capture facilities
- Develop and review key engineering deliverables including material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and shutdown systems
- Execute line sizing, PSV sizing, and preparation of process equipment data sheets
- Contribute to cost estimation and economic evaluation during early project phase
Collaboration & Project Execution
- Act as Lead Process Engineer coordinating multidisciplinary teams and addressing technical challenges
- Collaborate with international offices to execute work-share strategies and ensure project alignment
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers
- Interface directly with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies as a key technical representative
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure designs comply with Australian and international standards, codes, and regulatory requirement
- Participate in and lead HAZOPs, P&ID reviews, and safety studies
- Develop control narratives, operating procedures, and start-up/shutdown documentation
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Technical Exposure
- Exposure to conventional and unconventional oil & gas facilities, including sweet and sour gas systems
- Design experience with gas processing, compression, and dehydration systems (including Coal Seam Gas)
- Involvement in both office-based engineering and on-site field support and inspections
- Opportunity to apply international (particularly Canadian) design practices to Australian projects
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- 15+ years of experience in oil & gas process engineering within an EPCM environment
- Professional designations: C.P.Eng, RPEQ, and P.Eng
- Strong experience in gas processing facilities, including compression and dehydration systems
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and mentoring engineers
- Demonstrated field experience and site exposure
- Proficiency in:
- HYSYS and related simulation software
- Ariel / Powerflow compressor tools
- Fisher Specification Manager
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Experience working with international teams and executing global projects
