Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Principal System Test Engineer for the Command Systems team. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
What You'll Get To Do:
- Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.
- Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per requirements, plans and procedures.
- Participate in internal and customer test planning working groups.
- Support program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
- Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
- Review test plans, procedures, and reports; witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer
- Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (STEM) and 8 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
- 1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- US Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) with the ability to receive a Special Access Program (SAP) certification.
- Hardware Test and Evaluation of experience in vibration, shock, thermal etc.
- Hardware and Software LRU test and integration experience
- Knowledge of induced environments and specifications
- Experience developing hardware testing procedures and executing testing on LRU’s.
- Experience compiling test data and writing reports.
- Experience with specification derivation specifically around verification methods
- Proficiency with Cameo and DOORS

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
