Responsible for all engineering activities in the Civil-Structural-Architectural discipline for specific projects in accordance with contractual requirements (design, budgeted hours, schedule etc.) by leading a team of Engineers/Designers and by coordinating with other departments and external agencies.
About the Job
• Establishes Discipline QHSE plan and defines discipline objectives, team role, execution plan, surveillance plan, work process in accordance with project objectives and TEN procedures.
• Is responsible for performing activities and issuing deliverables in accordance with project schedule, quality, contractual requirements, and execution plan.
• Is responsible for establishing team organization and managing mobilization plan in accordance with budget and Workfront (E bulletin) in coordination with head of department.
• Supervises internal/external subcontracted engineering activities as per project execution and surveillance plan.
• Checks or/and approves discipline deliverables.
• Manages and controls schedule and progress (JANUS).
• Controls man/hours budget and identifies internal change request (eICR).
• Identifies technical risk & opportunities to cope with project objectives in terms of cost, quality, and schedule.
• Consolidates & ensures awareness of input and output data for the discipline.
• Coordinates with other engineering, process/HSE disciplines, procurement, construction, subcontract, commissioning, and other project support for the discipline’s activities. Arbitration (Engineering strategy, Contractual topic, Cost & Schedule) is by Project Engineering Manager.
• Identifies optimized technical/economical solutions in coordination with other disciplines. Validation (and arbitration as necessary) by Project Engineering Manager.
• Manages the team to ensure that all members are aware of assigned work and comply with DQHSEP, objectives & TEN work process.
• Monitors discipline KPI.
• Performs reporting to Discipline Department Manager / Project management.
• Represents the company towards clients, partners, subcontractors, vendors, and third parties for technical subjects in his/her discipline. Support by Project Engineering Manager as necessary.
• Manages and controls material quantities with regards to Price sheet budget and proposes mitigation/proactive actions to control the quantity increase.
• Ensures issuance of the MTO Report for the discipline.
• Supports the Discipline manager in implementation of the Digital initiatives in the project as required time to time.
• Establishes project close out and lessons learned.
Role Dimension
• Supervision & Management of a medium size team (Group Leaders, Specialist Engineers, Designers, Draftsmen)
• Possible management of a multicenter execution and dedicated to one project
• Project Type : Detailed FEED , Medium size EPC project for the Civil-Structural-Architectural discipline. Can act as Lead for FEED & small EPC project (for energy transition)
About you
• Engineering degree
• Experience in design and execution of projects as discipline lead in conventional energy projects or new energy transition projects
• Familiarity with all technical aspects of the discipline and experience in most of them
• Construction experience on site
