Job Description Summary
We are searching for a self-driven and highly motivated Middleware Developer!
You will be part of the IT Middleware development team and will provide support to Scoot's middleware.
You will work closely with stakeholders such as the Ground Ops team to deliver, enhance and maintain API services for applications.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, conduct analysis and will be involved in enhancing and maintaining Scoot’s Operations Middleware or Scoot’s Centralized Middleware

• Technical support for Scoot’s Operations Middleware or Scoot’s Centralized Middleware

• Collect, calculate, and check information from various sources to devise solutions, design systems, and implement system processes

• Conduct system troubleshooting & investigation to resolve any incidents reported

• Cooperate and communicate well with other personnel across departments to explain and assist in the integration of information management and data communication systems

• Recommend other methods and technologies derived from the gathered data to maximise the efficiency of project implementation

• Analyse, create, document, and maintain IT business knowledge processes and procedures

• Follow and comply with SDLC or AGILE methodology

• Maintain and implement high quality changes while applying IT development standards and practices

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance Testing and Product Owners to review application functionality and test results

• Apply development team’s existing standards for programming, naming, security & performance

• Provide accurate and timely estimates for assigned work and documentation for all completed work assignments

• Write comprehensive and efficient unit tests

• Assist peers with detailed program analysis & design for assigned work

• Meeting SLA resolved & response and achieve KPIs

• Adopt Agile methodology to achieve timely and quality deliverables

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science/IT related or Diploma in Computer Science/IT with a relevant number of experiences

• At least 2 years of working experience as a Middleware Developer

• At least 2 years of working experience developing and maintaining APIs

• Good verbal and written communication

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good fundamentals in application/software development

• Must be proficient in C# .Net and .Net Core 

• A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals

• Hands on experience with SQL database

• Experience with AWS Services (EC2, VPC, SNS, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, etc)

• Working experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Team oriented, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Having airline knowledge is an advantage

• Having Navitaire NewSkies knowledge is an advantage
