Join onsemi’s New Product Development team in Brno, Czech Republic, where we define, design, and validate cutting-edge analog-digital integrated circuits.
We are looking for a Senior Principal Analog Design Engineer. In this role, you will contribute to and oversee the development of our state-of-the-art products, starting with architecture all the way to production.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with marketing and customers to define system-level requirements and IC specifications.
- Define and oversee detailed simulations using modern EDA tools and accurate models.
- Work closely with layout engineers to translate schematics into silicon.
- Lead technical aspects of projects including task planning and coordination.
- Write design documentation and test plans.
- Support product qualification and manufacturing, including yield improvement and customer issue resolution.
- Own technical outcomes of design, verification, implementation, and execution of power management ICs with complexities that can span from simple regulators to complex mixed-signal designs and control loops.
- Understand project goals, create a realistic schedule and resource plan, track execution schedule to plan, monitor progress, and provide full clarity to the team on the goals and objectives.
- Ensure first-pass success and timely execution using established design methodologies.
What We’re Looking For
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in mixed-signal design and/or verification.
- Solid understanding of circuit analysis and mixed-signal design principles.
- Demonstrated technical expertise.
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Eligibility to work in the Czech Republic.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mixed-signal architectures, system and chip partitioning, high-performance digital and analog IP.
- Advanced knowledge of semiconductor process technology and device physics.
- Awareness of EMC design considerations.
