Methode Electronics is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst of Pricing to serve as the financial steward of the company’s pricing strategy across its global product portfolio. Reporting into the Finance organization, this role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Commercial leadership to develop, analyze, and govern pricing for both new business quotes and the existing book of business. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis and margin discipline with commercial acumen, translating cost, market, and customer data into pricing decisions that protect and expand profitability.
Responsibilities:- Lead the financial analysis of pricing for new business quotes, repricing requests, and annual customer negotiations, ensuring quotes meet target margin and return thresholds.
- Build and maintain pricing and quoting models that incorporate material, labor, overhead, tooling, freight, and currency inputs to determine fully loaded cost and recommended price.
- Analyze gross margin, contribution margin, and profitability by customer, product line, program, and region; identify margin erosion and recommend corrective pricing actions.
- Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to develop pricing strategies, evaluate price/volume trade-offs, and support customer negotiations with fact-based financial analysis.
- Monitor raw material and commodity cost movements and model their impact on pricing, supporting cost recovery and price pass-through initiatives with customers.
- Govern the pricing approval process, ensuring deals adhere to pricing policy, delegation-of-authority thresholds, and margin guardrails.
- Conduct competitive and market pricing analysis to inform price positioning and identify opportunities for price optimization.
- Support the annual operating plan, forecasting, and standard cost roll processes as they relate to pricing and margin assumptions.
- Develop dashboards and reporting that give Finance and Commercial leadership visibility into pricing trends, win/loss economics, and margin performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and controls, partnering with IT and FP&A on system and data enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, cost accounting, or pricing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong command of cost structures, margin analysis, and profitability modeling.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex modeling; experience with ERP systems (e.g., CMS) and BI/analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable commercial recommendations.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence Sales, Operations, and senior leadership.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
- Experience supporting an automotive, electronics, or component manufacturer with a complex, global customer base.
- Familiarity with pricing software/CPQ tools and standard cost / bill-of-materials structures.
- Experience with commodity cost recovery, tooling recovery, and multi-currency pricing.
