About the Role
At Egen, we build intelligent AI-driven and modern cloud-native applications that help enterprises innovate and scale.
We are looking for a hands-on GCP Solution Architect within our Solution Engineering team — someone who designs real systems, builds working prototypes, and owns architecture through delivery transition.
We are open to candidates with deep specialization in either AI/ML systems or Application Modernization, with strong GCP foundations.
You are expected to bring depth in one domain with working familiarity of the other. We value architects who understand how AI-driven systems and modern applications intersect.
This is not a core infrastructure, networking, or traditional data warehouse architecture role.
We are seeking architects who design intelligent systems and modern applications — not platform administrators or ETL-focused data engineers.
What You’ll Do
Architecture & System Design
- Lead technical discovery to understand business objectives and system landscapes
- Design scalable architectures on GCP aligned to reliability, performance, and cost considerations
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and modernization strategies
- Articulate architecture decisions and trade-offs clearly
AI/ML Architecture Track
If your specialization is AI/ML, you will:
- Architect AI-enabled systems leveraging GCP capabilities (including Vertex AI ecosystem)
- Design GenAI integrations, RAG-based systems, and agentic workflows
- Define ML lifecycle and deployment strategies
- Integrate AI capabilities into application workflows
Application Modernization Track
If your specialization is Application Modernization, you will:
- Design microservices-based, event-driven, and API-first architectures
- Modernize legacy systems into scalable cloud-native applications
- Define backend services powering real-time, user-facing systems
- Establish DevOps-aligned scalability and deployment patterns
Rapid Prototyping
- Build POCs and reference implementations
- Validate architectural feasibility through hands-on experimentation
Solution Ownership
- Translate architecture into clear execution roadmaps to enable predictable delivery
Delivery Alignment
- Guide Delivery teams during mobilization and early implementation phases
- Ensure clarity of scope, assumptions, and architectural intent
Technical Leadership
- Mentor engineers and review implementation approaches
- Contribute to internal architecture standards and reusable patterns

What You Bring
- 7+ years in Solution Architecture or senior cloud technical leadership roles
- Strong hands-on experience designing AI-enabled systems or modern cloud-native applications on GCP (beyond infrastructure provisioning or warehouse-only implementations)
- Demonstrated architectural ownership in either AI/ML-driven systems or modern application design
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and system reliability
- Ability to translate complex requirements into practical, buildable architectures
- Programming experience in Python or Java
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

- GCP Certifications
- Experience with GenAI and agentic frameworks
- Multi-cloud awareness
- Experience working with global teams
