Department OverviewThis position will be part of the North America Presale team. This team is responsible for defining and designing customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions across Motorola’s expansive public safety product portfolio that includes Next Generation 9-1-1 Call Processing and Call Routing, Computer-Aided Dispatch and Records Management, Digital Evidence Management, Intelligence-Led Public Safety, Real-Time Video and Data Analytics, Community Engagement Applications, and Land Mobile Radio.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage presales teams supporting the software and ECH sales teams.
Drive and facilitate organizational change across internal presales teams and partner organizations to streamline workflows and modernize presales alignment.
Partner heavily with Sales, Sales Management, Product, Post Sales, and Offer/Strategy teams to ensure tight alignment on presale strategy, proposal development, and customer solutions.
Oversee the end-to-end presale quoting, proposal generation, statements of work (SOW), and system configuration processes to ensure accuracy and strategy alignment.
Develop and implement consistent standards, schedules, and best practices for RFPs, technical configurations, and complex proposals.
Serve as a primary liaison to Presale Management, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, and Product Leadership to effectively coordinate high-priority presale activities.
Establish KPIs, resource allocation strategies, and performance metrics across both direct and channel-focused teams.
Assist in the development of broader business plans, go-to-market strategies, and organizational approaches to capitalize on public safety market opportunities.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated track record of successfully driving and facilitating organizational change across cross-functional teams and partner organizations.
8+ years of experience in sales enablement, presales management, program management, business development, or customer success, with prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong ability to build collaborative relationships and influence external stakeholder groups (Sales, Product, Post Sales, Strategy).
Prior experience in Emergency Call Handling (ECH) or Software (CAD, RMS, etc) is preferred
A strong operational and change management background is highly preferred.
Ability to manage complex priorities and optimize resource allocation across distinct routes to market (Direct vs. Channel) and product lines.
Ability to read, analyze, and manage project P&Ls and technical proposal schedules.
Proficiency in enterprise business toolsets (Salesforce, Oracle-based applications, MS Office, Google Suite).
Strong executive presentation, written, and oral communication skills. Background in or familiarity with the public safety market is preferred.
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Target Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 USD
