Responsible for processing customer-supplied designs and ensuring they are optimized for gravure printing. This role involves design adaptation, color accuracy, and seamless integration into production workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Processing:
* Adapt and process designs to make them gravure-friendly using advanced graphic software tools.
* Generate high-quality PDFs for customer approval and ensure timely upload on ERP (Oracle).
Color Management:
* Perform shade matching based on customer-supplied references.
* Execute precise color correction to maintain brand and quality standards.
Customer Interaction:
* Collaborate with customers for design approvals and feedback.
* Ensure all design outputs meet customer expectations and technical requirements.
Workflow Integration:
* Maintain accurate records and upload approved designs into ERP Oracle for production.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transition from design to engraving/printing stages.
Required Skills & Competencies
* Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Artpro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
* Strong understanding of gravure printing processes and prepress requirements.
* Expertise in color theory, shade matching, and color correction techniques.
* Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle) for design uploads and workflow management.
* Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
This position exists to ensure smooth execution of prepress operations, maintaining high-quality standards and timely delivery for customer requirements (This business consist of 35- 40% of total external sale). The role is critical for supporting production schedules and minimizing downtime.
QualificationsEducation: Diploma/Degree in Printing Technology or related field.
Experience: 10–15 years in prepress operations.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of prepress job processing for PDF submission and releasing final data for engraving. Familiarity with proofing and color management.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
