As a senior member of our Sales Engineering team, you’ll be a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers, influencing solution design, and demonstrating how Ascom’s healthcare workflow technologies transform clinical environments and elevate care outcomes.

What your days will look like…

As a Senior Pre‑Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Lead technical engagements with customers, translating clinical and operational needs into tailored solution designs using Ascom’s portfolio.

  • Prepare and deliver high‑impact demonstrations, presentations, and proof‑of‑concepts, both onsite and remotely.

  • Develop advanced sales tools, technical collateral, and configuration guidelines to support sales teams and channel partners.

  • Conduct regular web‑based training sessions for resellers and customers, ensuring strong product knowledge and solution alignment.

  • Provide strategic input into product development, market planning, and go‑to‑market initiatives based on customer insights.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services to ensure seamless handover and solution realisation.

And you have…
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, including Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices

  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud environments

  • Knowledge of scalable, high-availability infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code

  • Familiarity with observability, monitoring and cloud security frameworks

  • Solid understanding of healthcare and clinical workflows, including nurse call, patient monitoring and clinical communication systems

  • Exposure to hospital environments (e.g. ICU, ED, wards) and clinical escalation workflows

  • Knowledge of EMR/EHR ecosystems and integrated care delivery models

  • Strong capability in integration and interoperability, including HL7, FHIR and REST APIs

  • Experience integrating with EMR systems, medical devices and clinical platforms

  • Understanding of real-time event processing, identity/authentication and system interoperability

  • Working knowledge of cloud security, governance and compliance, including IAM/RBAC, encryption and data residency requirements

  • Familiarity with healthcare security standards (e.g. ISO 27001, HIPAA, PDPA) is advantageous

  • Proven ability to operate in a pre-sales / solution consulting environment

  • Strong stakeholder engagement across IT, clinical, biomedical and executive audiences

Skills Required
