Senior PowerBI Developer

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Skills Required:

• Power BI with Power Apps and Power Platforms 
• Azure 
• NoSQL databases 
• Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, and SQL 

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in report development using industry-leading business intelligence reporting and dashboarding tools, primarily Power BI, SAP Business Objects (BOXI), and Tableau. 
• At least 5+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in building and delivering Power BI reports, analytics, and dashboards in production environments. 
• Experience using Power BI with Power Apps and Power Platforms
• Proficiency in utilizing Power BI Desktop and Power BI Paginated Reports to build use case-specific solutions. 
• Strong knowledge and experience in full front-to-back Power BI solution architecture. 
• Experience in publishing content to Power BI Service, setting up entitlements, and rolling out content to business users for production use. 
• Built BI solutions using Power BI against On-Premises, Cloud, and Hybrid data sources. 
• Experience working with other Business Intelligence tools, especially SAP BOXI version 4.x. 
• Expertise in capturing and reviewing queries generated by report building tools, optimizing them by running against source databases using SQL client tools. 
• Hands-on experience using relational databases such as Oracle and IBM DB2 UDB, with the ability to write medium to advanced SQL queries for data sampling, exploration, and troubleshooting. 
• Collaborates closely with business stakeholders to understand business requirements for reports, provide UAT support, and obtain sign-off for production deployment. 
• Hands-on experience with associated systems and software, including Linux, Unix, version management with Git, and job schedulers, utilizing these during development. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability in handling end-to-end SDLC development cycles. 
• Team player with a strong attitude and work ethics. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work with global teams.
• Hadoop Big Data platform experience is a plus.
