How You’ll Make an Impact
- Design and implement advanced power network applications for real-time control and analysis
- Collaborate with customers to understand needs and deliver tailored, high-performance solutions
- Support software releases and troubleshoot complex issues with expert-level insight
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices and documentation
- Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing research in power systems, optimization, and market operations
- Represent Hitachi Energy in customer meetings, industry events, and technical discussions
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in power network applications and control, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong programming skills in C or FORTRAN and experience with Linux-based systems
- Solid understanding of power systems modeling, power flow, contingency analysis, and optimization techniques
- Experience developing software for electric utilities or electricity markets
- Formal education in power systems optimization and data structures/databases
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on deregulated electricity markets is a plus
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States

California Salary: 126,900.00 - 158,600.00 USD Annual
