Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Portfolio Support Partner, reporting to the Portfolio Support Manager.
A bit about your role
As the Senior Portfolio Support Partner, you will play a central role in supporting the delivery of financial, resource, and operational management activities across the business. You will help bring clarity and connection to the way financial performance, resource planning, and delivery insights are understood, ensuring leaders have the information they need to make thoughtful and timely decisions.
You will coordinate forecasting, cost recovery, accruals, and month‑end processes with care and precision, bringing together inputs from both onshore and offshore teams. You will guide the refinement of financial data and reporting for Pillar GMs and EMs, helping translate complex information into insights that are accessible and actionable. In doing so, you will help strengthen the operational rhythm across the Pillar, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with nbn’s broader governance frameworks.
Your role will also champion continuous improvement—whether through supporting automation initiatives, uplifting ways of working, or nurturing strong cross‑functional relationships with groups such as Finance, Procurement, Legal, PMO, and Strategy & Implementation. By contributing to streamlined processes and shared understanding, you will help enable a more connected and confident delivery environment across the business.
A bit about you
If this sounds like a role that aligns with your strengths, you may bring experience supporting complex portfolios or programs within environments such as telecommunications, utilities, financial services, or other large enterprises. You are comfortable navigating financial and resource management processes, and you take pride in presenting information in a way that empowers others—making financial concepts clearer, decisions easier, and conversations more collaborative.
You likely have a strong foundation in finance or accounting, supported by 5+ years of relevant experience and a proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders. You may have worked within PMO environments, supported project lifecycles, or contributed to process improvement and automation initiatives. You demonstrate sound judgment, an eye for accuracy, and an instinct for when to escalate emerging issues early.
You bring a warm, solutions‑focused approach, thriving in environments where trust, transparency, and teamwork are essential. You work thoughtfully with others, seeking to understand before acting, and you balance operational discipline with a genuine commitment to helping teams succeed. With your collaborative mindset and steady leadership, you will help embed best practice, strengthen service consistency, and support the ongoing success of the SEO Pillar.
