Senior Portfolio Manager (People & Operations) | hybrid | Querétaro and/or Guararema
Step into the role of Senior Portfolio Manager with Mars Global Services (MGS), specifically in our People & Organization (P&O / Human Resources) division at Mars Inc. This position offers the opportunity to partner with various business units to develop and implement strategic plans. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of Human Resource-related projects, each designed to shape the experiences of our Associates and contribute to their success at Mars. By aligning these projects with our organizational goals, you’ll play a key role in monitoring performance and leading the planning, scheduling, and reporting of portfolio-related activities.
As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you will be at the forefront of navigating organizational complexity, balancing the needs and priorities of multiple stakeholders, and providing thought leadership to drive innovation and best practices across the P&O portfolio.
What are we looking for?Certifications: A Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Management of Portfolio (MoP), or similar certification would be highly advantageous.
Education: A bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience: We’re seeking someone with at least 7-10 years of experience in Portfolio Management, Program Director, or Transformation Director roles, ideally with a proven track record of managing complex portfolios.

Managing Complexity: Lead the orchestration of multiple, concurrent projects with varying degrees of complexity, interdependence, and risk profiles. Apply systems thinking to anticipate challenges, resolve issues, and ensure seamless execution across the portfolio.
Demand Intake: Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of proposed P&O projects, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic value, resource availability, and risk assessment.
Stakeholder Management: Influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit. Proactively engage with senior leaders, business partners, and cross-functional teams to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure alignment.
Risk Management: Identify, monitor, and manage risks across the P&O portfolio, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful delivery.
Centre of Excellence Alignment: Form strong relationships with the Center of Excellence, ensuring adherence to governance, standards, and best practices across all Mars Global Services portfolios.
Resource Allocation & Budget Management: Advise on effective P&O resource allocations across projects to optimize performance and efficiency, while maintaining budgetary discipline and maximizing return on investment.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present detailed reports and insights on P&O portfolio performance, leveraging data-driven analysis to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Thought Leadership: Champion innovative approaches, industry best practices, and emerging trends in portfolio management. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and high performance.
