In the role of Senior Portfolio Analyst working on-site in Waukesha, Wisconsin you will be part of the Information Technology Results Delivery Office team.  

The Senior Portfolio Analyst is responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing the portfolio of strategic initiatives and programs across the organization. This role ensures alignment with business objectives, supports decision-making through data-driven insights, and enhances portfolio performance through continuous improvement. The Senior Portfolio Analyst collaborates with business leaders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives deliver expected value and strategic outcomes.

Major Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define and assess business priorities, ensuring portfolio initiatives align with strategic goals and deliver measurable value.
• Support the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of new initiatives, including business case development and resource impact analysis.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, including financials, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization.
• Facilitate portfolio governance processes and prepare materials for executive reviews and steering committees.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain portfolio dashboards and tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in portfolio management processes, tools, and reporting.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure consistent status reporting and alignment with portfolio standards.
• Support change management and communication efforts related to portfolio initiatives.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience

• Experience in portfolio, program, or project analysis within a strategic or enterprise PMO environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership to drive alignment and transparency.
• Experience with portfolio management tools and techniques, including financial tracking and benefit realization.
•  Experience coordinating governance processes and executive reporting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in portfolio management tools (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, Miro, Smartsheet, Confluence, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of agile and waterfall project methodologies.

Preferred Job Requirements

Certification / License

 • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certifications.

Work Experience
• Experience supporting digital transformation or large-scale change initiatives.
• Experience developing training materials and delivering stakeholder education sessions.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of strategic planning and investment prioritization frameworks.
• Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and integration tools like MuleSoft.
• Ability to interpret journey maps and customer experience data to inform portfolio decisions.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
