The ideal candidate will bring strong PMO fundamentals and the ability to organize complex information, analyze project performance, develop actionable reports, and support consistent project-management practices. This position will work closely with program leadership, project managers, technical teams, and customer stakeholders but will not have responsibility for managing the PMO or supervising project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain integrated project schedules and related planning documentation.
  • Track project status, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and action items across multiple workstreams.
  • Analyze schedule, resource, cost, and performance information to identify trends, gaps, and potential delivery risks.
  • Prepare dashboards, status reports, executive summaries, briefing materials, and other program-management deliverables.
  • Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and government customers to collect and validate project information.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions and action items, and follow up with responsible parties to support timely completion.
  • Support risk identification, impact analysis, mitigation planning, escalation, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Assist with resource planning and allocation by identifying capacity constraints, competing priorities, and project dependencies.
  • Review existing business and project-management processes, document current-state workflows, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Support requirements-analysis activities, including gathering information, documenting business needs, analyzing processes, and helping translate needs into actionable requirements.
  • Develop and maintain PMO templates, standards, procedures, repositories, and governance documentation.
  • Monitor the completion and quality of required project artifacts and help ensure compliance with customer and organizational standards.
  • Support change-management activities by documenting impacts, coordinating communications, and helping teams adopt updated processes.
  • Assist with strategic planning, portfolio analysis, and the alignment of project activities with program and customer objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to simplify reporting, strengthen controls, and improve delivery visibility.
