The Enterprise Monitoring Team is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with strong experience in network device monitoring, including availability and performance management. In this role, you will work within a team of five engineers, with a primary focus on monitoring network devices. You will collaborate closely with the Network Engineering team to ensure accurate and effective monitoring coverage across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding and offboarding of network devices within monitoring platforms
- Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics
- Partner with the Network Engineering team to optimize monitoring strategies and visibility
- Support and enhance enterprise monitoring solutions
Qualifications
- Proven experience with network device monitoring including availability and performance
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with Broadcom NetOps and Splunk is a plus
Additional Details
- This is a remote position with occasional travel to the office approximately 4 to 6 times per year.
- On-call rotation is required; each rotation lasts approximately 2 weeks, and there are approximately 5 rotations per year.
- Travel to our Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters will be required for final interview(s).

Job Responsibilities
- Certify multiple hardware platforms and the interrelationship/interoperability of different operating systems and complex environments.
- Provide technical leadership and responsibility for the installation and certification of all supporting software and hardware in order to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.
- Developing data architecture to support both the production system, and the backend data science and modeling tools.
- Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems.
- Must be willing to adjust schedule to perform maintenance and upgrades outside of business hours and be part of an on-call rotation.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field or equivalent years of experience is required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as 4 years of professional experience.
Experience
- 5 years - Experience in Information Technology required.
- 1 year - Experience in IT engineering in an enterprise environment.
Skills/Certifications
- Advanced knowledge of infrastructure technologies including infrastructure services, platform technologies and monitoring tools.
- Systematic, fact based decision making and problem solving.
- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to cultivate relationships with all internal/external stakeholders, promoting diversity of perspectives, ideas and cultures.
