All about the role:
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will report directly to the Platform Engineering and SRE Engineering Manager.
You will be part of our Cloud Native organization, working closely with our Product teams in eCommerce, Digital Marketing and other Consumer solutions and be involved in the full Software Lifecycle. We already have a solid, modern Engineering foundation and want to continuously improve in a dynamic, iterative manner.
This is both a creative and a detail-oriented role in a very multicultural environment. We want you to be bursting with opinions and passionate about sharing them, as well as executing them in a collaborative way.
About the CDI Experience Organization:
The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Center, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity to AI. You will play a key role in driving technical excellence and best practices across these product areas.

Navigate complex technical challenges, stay ahead of the latest industry trends and technologies, and contribute your deep expertise to drive engineering excellence. Enjoy working in a team, be open minded, confident but humble.
Have proven experience working with a stack including:
Kubernetes with Service Mesh, Helm and Operators
MongoDB Atlas
Azure API management
Multi-Cloud
Azure DevOps/Github actions
Terraform
Balance your time between individual engineering contributions, technical problem-solving and collaborative work.
Drive the adoption of design solutions and best practices through your expertise and technical guidance.
Contribute to the design of distributed system architectures alongside your peers.
Ensure that the technical compoents of projects are aligned with the business needs of the organization.
Identify technical debt and proactively recommend alternatives or improvements.
Advocate for everything-as-code practices and help embed them across projects.
Be genuinely passionate about engineering and committed to technical excellence.
Who are you:
Expert in various Cloud Native patterns and methodologies, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security.
Computer Science/Software Engineering related degree.
8+ years of work experience with Production, scalable distributed system landscapes.
Extensive experience with Cloud Computing.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Desirable qualifications and experience:
Experience with SAP systems.
Production experience with Kafka or Azure Event Hubs/Grids and understanding of Evening architecture.
