The Central Technology division of Jam City builds and maintains cutting edge platforms for use across the Jam City portfolio of games including cloud infrastructure, live operations, data platform, IT solutions, data security, and much more. The Platform Engineering team works with designing and maintaining the developer experience for multiple engineering teams within the Central Technology division and teams across the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and extend existing platform infrastructure based on Kubernetes, AWS.
- Deliver the creation of scripts / tools to help streamline the development process.
- Work with backend, frontend, and analytics engineers to define optimal deployments of services on our infrastructure.
- Contribute ideas in a collaborative, supportive team environment.
- Work effectively with a large variety of internal and external customers and game teams around the globe.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideally 6+ years of professional experience as a Software or Platform Engineer.
- Passionate about working with software engineers and delivering robust platform solutions and developer experience.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud deployment architectures utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS-based cloud services such as RDS, Elasticsearch, S3, EKS.
- Working understanding of Kafka.
- Solid skills in languages such as Java, Python, and Typescript.
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to deliver projects on time.
- Bonus points for experience with Istio, ArgoCD, Atlantis, Azure, GCP and Github Actions.
