Description:

We are looking for a talented and highly experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. This individual will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure solutions using Azure, GitHub, .NET, and Kubernetes. You will play a key role in designing and optimizing our continuous integration and deployment pipelines, automating platform operations, and ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions that power our products and services. You will leverage your expertise to mentor junior engineers and help build out an efficient and reliable cloud platform.

Responsibilities:

• Azure Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services using Azure. Ensure the platform is scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Pipeline Automation: Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, automating deployment and release processes across environments.
• Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications. Ensure high availability and performance for production workloads.
• .NET Integration: Work with development teams to optimize .NET applications and services, ensuring seamless deployment and scaling in cloud environments.
• Automation & Scripting: Write automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and routine operational tasks. Utilize tools like PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Terraform.
• Collaboration: Partner with product and development teams to integrate infrastructure solutions into product development and ensure infrastructure meets the needs of business goals.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement effective monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure platform performance, availability, and security. Optimize resource usage and costs.
• Technical Leadership: Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers. Lead by example in best practices, clean code, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Respond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner, utilizing your strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cloud platforms, automation, and platform engineering.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and platform automation.
• Cloud Expertise: Proven experience managing Azure cloud environments, including services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Hub/Spoke & Isolated Architectures.
• CI/CD & Automation: Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including setup, management, and scaling of containerized applications in production.
• Programming & Scripting: Proficient in .NET (C#) or Java development for platform-related tasks and automation, as well as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for scripting.
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or other infrastructure-as-code tools to provision and manage cloud resources.
• Security & Compliance: Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance. Experience working in highly regulated environments
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., DataDog, Azure AppInsights, Open Telemetry) for platform observability.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an agile, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
• Other Cloud Platforms: Experience with other cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud is beneficial.
• Additional DevOps Tools: Familiarity with other DevOps tools like Ansible, Jenkins, or Chef is a plus.
• Advanced Networking: Experience with advanced networking concepts such as virtual networks, subnets, VPNs, and hybrid cloud configurations.
• Experience in Regulated Environments: Experience with implementing non-blocking controls and automations that enable developer productivity while ensuring a high-degree of compliance with various regulatory frameworks.
