Are you passionate about improving how developers build, test, and ship software? emnify is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing Platform Engineering team. This team is dedicated to streamlining software delivery and elevating the developer experience across our engineering organization.
You will work alongside three engineers focused on building reliable CI/CD systems, scalable infrastructure automation, and internal tooling that helps our product teams move faster and safer. This role sits at the intersection of DevOps, infrastructure, and software development.
This position can be based in emnify’s office in Berlin or Würzburg, or remote within Germany or Poland. While we offer flexibility, the team values in-person collaboration. Most members currently choose to come to the office several days a week.

Your Impact- Bring expertise in continuous deployment best practices using Jenkins to support safe and fast software delivery
- Build internal tooling and automation to improve the experience of software engineers across multiple product teams
- Drive adoption of progressive engineering and quality practices in areas such as API design, AWS cost awareness, feature flags, canary deployments, and automated rollbacks
- Collaborate with product engineers and engineering leadership to align on priorities and improve development workflows
- Contribute to operational excellence by improving observability, release safety, and incident response tooling
- Technical Competency: Strong experience building and scaling CI/CD using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform or similar
- Software Development: Proficiency in at least one programming language (for example, Java, Go, or Python), experience in scripting (e.g., Groovy), and hands-on experience building internal tools or services for developers
- Domain Proficiency: Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS managed services), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and modern deployment strategies
- Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose issues in distributed systems, design scalable solutions, and iterate based on feedback and metrics
- Collaboration and Communication: Experience working closely with developers to understand their needs, prioritize improvements, and drive adoption of platform tools
