Senior Planning Engineer - Rails
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planning Engineer - Rails to join our PMC team on a major Rail programme. In this role you will lead planning, scheduling, progress control, reporting and time-related claims/EOT support.
What You'll Be Doing:
Review contractor baseline and progress schedules and support the Engineer’s consent in line with contract requirements and Parsons practices.
Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across packages and interfaces; validate resource/schedule feasibility.
Identify potential schedule risks/conflicts and support updates to the project risk register.
Analyze progress updates to identify delays/slippage, critical events and recommend mitigation/recovery actions.
Perform “what-if” analysis and schedule impact assessments for changes/variations.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, programme analysis, dashboards and presentations against milestones.
Support claims/EOT assessments using delay analysis methods (e.g., time impact and window analysis), including concurrent delay analysis.
Lead planning coordination meetings, maintain trackers/logs and ensure contemporaneous records are kept.
Provide technical guidance and leadership to planning team members as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management from a recognized institution.
Minimum 12 years post-graduate experience including 5+ years of rail experience.
Previous experience in Planning & Scheduling, Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis, and Extension of Time Claims
Extensive experience with the design processes and construction methodologies in Rail Projects
Experience in the application of Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis and TILOS.
Strong understanding of rail design/construction methodologies and industry best practices/regulations.
