We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our dynamic award winning team. The successful candidate will play a key role supporting the delivery of a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme, working specifically within the Civils programme. This role will involve developing and maintaining robust construction schedules for complex civil engineering works, working closely with delivery teams to ensure the programme is realistic, integrated, and aligned with project objectives. Strong civils experience is essential for this role.

🔹 You'll

Develop schedule estimates for civil construction works ensuring they are robust, realistic and practicable.

Define the Basis of Estimate for the construction schedule scope (including key assumptions and exclusions).

Work closely with both the Cost and Risk Management teams to ensure alignment of all estimates and assumptions.

Collaborate with the Risk team to support the QSRA process.

Identify and manage key internal and external interfaces including procurement, consents, dependent projects, and delivery partners.

Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring buy-in to the project schedule.

Ensure schedule estimates are validated using benchmark data and design information (including BIM where available).

🔹 We’re looking for:

Essential

  • 6+ years planning experience working on construction or major infrastructure projects.

  • Strong civil engineering planning experience.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure programmes.

  • Excellent communication skills, including English language and visual presentations (e.g. PowerPoint), with the ability to analyse and present information clearly and persuasively.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience working with BIM, parametric estimating and 4D planning.

  • Qualified to degree level would be advantageous, as would formal project management qualifications such as APM or PRINCE2.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and forms of contracts (NEC, JCT, FIDIC).

  • Membership of a professional body such as APM, ICE, or CIOB.

📍 Requirements and Location:

• Full right to work in the UK

• 2–3 Days per week on site
