Role accountabilities:
- Develop and implement planning procedures, project schedules, and budget controls, monitoring performance and managing variances to achieve project objectives.
- Deliver or support the delivery of small to medium-sized projects/programs, ensuring scope, resources, deadlines, and quality requirements are met.
- Lead planning and schedule management across complex projects, programs, or portfolios, including Project Controls and Programme Management activities.
- Analyze project data, prepare recommendations for decision-making, and communicate planning and scheduling updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and the supply chain to ensure alignment on project requirements, progress, and expectations.
- Conduct delay analyses, Extension of Time assessments, risk assessments, and feasibility studies, developing mitigation strategies where required.
- Support project delivery through risk management, issue resolution, workload prioritization, and application of technical expertise.
- Provide specialist planning advice to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high-quality support and alignment between policy, operational practice, and project delivery.
- Foster collaboration across teams and advise colleagues on project planning matters to support successful outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- At least 8 years of proven experience as a Planner with a professional experience in consultancy or contracting.
- Can build master programmes from scratch, including logic links and adding any necessary resource and cost loading.
- Able to monitor project progress and advise on how to mitigate delay. Can undertake forensic delay analysis.
- Experience with preparing Design Programme and Construction Programme
- Good experience with preparing weekly or monthly progress reports, including s-curves and earned value analysis.
- Responsible for performance management of project team / resource
- Ideally possess proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Advance proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project , Primavera 6 or ASTA Powerproject).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- strong use of Excel
- Familiarity with RICS procedures or surveying (nice to have)
- Experience of using programme analysis tools (e.g. XER Toolkit, Acumen Fuse or similar) is a plus.
- Previous experience in development of Industrial facilities ( data centre , life science , manufacturing ) is highly desired.
- Travel availability: 50% travel may be required, depending on project and client needs.
