You will partner closely with Merchandising, Buying, Operations, and Executive Leadership to develop assortment, inventory, and demand strategies that drive growth and support key business decisions across the organization.

This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who enjoys building from the ground up. You will develop the forecasting frameworks, planning processes, and analytical tools that become the foundation of how the business plans and measures success. You'll create the forecasts, assortment plans, and performance analyses that leadership relies on to make critical business decisions. We're looking for someone who doesn't just report on the business—they help shape its direction through data-driven insights and recommendations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Own seasonal and annual merchandise planning across 20+ brands, developing assortment, SKU, unit, inventory, cost, retail, and sales plans at the brand, category, and capsule level.
  • Build and maintain scalable planning tools, models, and reporting frameworks that provide a single source of truth and support data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Develop and manage assortment strategies, including SKU productivity, category expansion opportunities, price architecture, and inventory investment recommendations.
  • Create demand forecasts and inventory plans that balance growth objectives, product availability, margin goals, and inventory productivity.
  • Analyze historical and current business performance to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that improve sales, inventory turns, and overall business health.
  • Monitor inventory throughout its lifecycle, proactively identifying reorder opportunities, receipt flow risks, excess inventory, and aging product concerns.
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Buying, and Operations to align plans with business objectives and ensure successful execution.
  • Own forecasting methodologies and planning assumptions, continuously refining models using sales trends, customer demand signals, inventory performance, and return behavior.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and seasonal business reviews highlighting key performance drivers, emerging trends, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Lead pre-season and in-season planning processes, including hindsight analysis, forecast updates, scenario planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and present planning recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex analyses into clear business insights and actionable decisions.
  • Establish and manage planning calendars, milestones, and deliverables while proactively communicating progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the planning subject matter expert for the organization, influencing assortment, inventory, and growth strategies through data-driven insights and analytical rigor.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, systems, reporting, and analytical capabilities to support the growth and scalability of the business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5–8+ years of merchandise planning experience within fashion, apparel, accessories, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven experience developing seasonal and annual assortment plans, inventory plans, and demand forecasts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, scenario modeling, and automated reporting frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience working across large datasets and multiple data sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to validate data integrity, reconcile outputs, and ensure accuracy of analyses and recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of merchandise planning and inventory productivity metrics, including sell-through, inventory turns, weeks of supply, full-price performance, markdown impact, and return rates.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Merchandising, Buying, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations and influence decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
