Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL performance tuning. The ideal candidate will work closely with DBAs and application developers to optimize queries, resolve production issues, and ensure efficient database performance in a high availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL programs within Oracle environments
- Perform advanced query optimization and performance tuning for large scale database systems
- Collaborate with production DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve application related database issues
- Work closely with application development teams to review, write, and suggest optimized SQL queries and stored procedures
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
- Ensure high standards of data integrity, performance, and scalability
- Support production systems with timely issue resolution and root cause analysis
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Oracle database concepts, architecture, and tools
- Advanced proficiency in:
- SQL
- PL/SQL development
- Query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience working in production support environments in collaboration with DBAs
- Ability to analyze and optimize complex queries and data structures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high volume or enterprise scale database systems
- Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tools
- Understanding of application database interaction patterns
