Strengthen the ICT CTO team shaping the next generations of electron beam column technology.
Join our R&D CTO division at the forefront of semiconductor metrology innovation. In this role, you will help define and advance the long‑term eBeam technology roadmap—developing concepts, exploring breakthrough technologies, and driving the scientific foundation for future electron beam systems used in advanced process control.
Key responsibilities
Develop concepts and technological foundations for next‑generation eBeam systems.
Integrate emerging technologies and innovations that enhance eBeam product performance.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the eBeam technology roadmap, addressing future semiconductor process control challenges.
Analyze and optimize electron optical systems using advanced simulation and mathematical modelling.
Conduct feasibility studies, prototypes, and experimental testing in lab or cleanroom environments.
Lead cross‑functional, cross‑team development projects.
Initiate and manage collaborations with industry partners and academic research institutions.
Evaluate scientific and industrial research trends to identify technological opportunities and risks.
Support IP and patent coordination by identifying innovation potential and contributing to invention disclosures.
Foster cross‑team innovation, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Work closely with an international, multidisciplinary team and external development partners
Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in physics, electrical engineering, materials science, or a related scientific field.
Experience in simulation, numerical modeling, and strong programming skills (e.g., Python or MATLAB).
Ideally, deep knowledge in particle beam system development (electron optics, high‑voltage systems, vacuum technology, emitter technologies).
Understanding of semiconductor process control is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in complex system development, from design and simulation to prototyping and testing.
Experience in planning and executing technical projects.
Fluent English; intermediate German is a plus.
Creative, analytical, and results‑oriented working style.
High level of initiative, ownership, and organizational skills.

YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
