JR71921 Senior Physical Design Role
Role and Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Responsible for physical design, floor planning, and developing timing constraints for complex IC designs with STA closure.
- On-Time Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of block-level physical design with high quality.
- Optimization: Optimize clock tree structures and manage routing and extraction tasks.
- Leadership: Demonstrate leadership in area/time estimation, scheduling, and execution to meet project schedules.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and be a good team player.
- Automation: Proficiency in automation to drive improvements in PPA.
- PnR Cycle: Full understanding of the PnR cycle, including Macros/IPs.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in physical design implementation, flow development, and Tempus STA analysis.
- Expertise: Meeting PPA requirements for SoCs, place and route, and IP integration.
- Familiarity: ASIC design flows and physical design methodologies.
- Efficiency: Streamlining the physical design process to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
- Fundamentals: Good understanding of physical design fundamentals and setup of Innovus, Tempus STA.
- Signoff Tools: Knowledge of signoff tools like Tempus, Quantus, and Calibre.
- Guidance: Ability to guide junior engineers in resolving technical issues.
- Technology Nodes: Experience working on multiple technology nodes in advanced processes.
- CAD Tools: Preferred experience with Cadence layout tools (Innovus, Tempus, Quantus).
- Digital Electronics: Strong fundamentals of digital electronics.
