Impact Scale LLC is seeking a highly skilled, infrastructure-minded Senior PHP Developer to join our technical engineering division. In this critical engineering role, you will take hands-on ownership of enhancing, maintaining, and scaling our flagship communications platform—a mission-critical, high-load system engineered to deliver reliable, high-speed transactional messaging at massive scale.
The ideal candidate thrives when dealing with the architectural challenges of high-concurrency systems, massive database loads, and distributed message queues handling millions of daily requests. You will plug directly into our existing workflow, partnering with cross-functional technical teams to defend platform uptime, eliminate data latency, and pioneer robust backend features.
Key Responsibilities
Core Backend Architecture & Microservices
Feature Engineering: Design, build, and optimize clean, reliable, and testable backend features leveraging advanced PHPframeworks (specifically Laravel).
Pipeline Optimization: Maximize message delivery pipelines, core execution speeds, and RESTful API structures to ensure ultra-low latency and zero transmission degradation.
Integrations Governance: Maintain and build fault-tolerant integrations with carrier network APIs, external telecommunication services, and internal distributed microservices.
Resiliency Engineering: Implement modern object-oriented programming (OOP), Model-View-Controller (MVC) paradigms, and strong automated error-handling frameworks to safeguard system resilience.
Database Optimization & Concurrency Scaling
High-Transaction Modeling: Design, monitor, and optimize advanced MySQLdatabase schemas structured around large, high-velocity datasets and heavy transactional rates.
Query Performance Tuning: Audit execution profiles, build tactical indexes, and refactor complex queries to prevent bottlenecks across database layers.
Distributed Queues & Caching: Scale and maintain distributed message queuing infrastructures (specifically RabbitMQ/ Ribbit MQ), advanced key-value caching layers, and front-end load-balancing systems to seamlessly absorb millions of concurrent daily inputs.
Technical Operations & Peer Leadership
Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to reliably ship stable, production-ready code.
Environment Maintenance: Build, run, and scale local containerized development environments utilizing Docker, tracking tasks across Jiraand auditing source trees through Gitversion control.
Code Mentorship: Deliver actionable peer code reviews and provide structured technical guidance to junior developers to protect internal engineering standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Required
Experience Depth: 5+ years of progressive professional experience in backend PHP engineering, with heavy focus inside the Laravelecosystem.
Database Fluency: 3+ years of advanced hands-on experience in SQL engineering, data modeling, and deep database performance tuning.
High-Load Exposure: Proven track record engineering structural components for high-load platforms, transactional processing hubs, or enterprise-scale communication systems.
Queue Architecture: Practical, working familiarity with high-concurrency message queuing networks (such as RabbitMQ).
Linguistic Skill: Fluent, native-level verbal and written command of Ukrainianor Russianto ensure flawless operational synchronization with our existing core engineering team.
Preferred
Active familiarity with Git branching strategies, continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CDpipelines), Docker containerization, and Jira issue tracking workflows.
Prior experience working inside high-volume telecom, SMS routing gateways, performance marketing networks, or fintech platforms.
