FE fundinfo is a global leader in investment fund data and technology. We are looking for a temporary Senior PHP Developer for an initial period of 3 months.
Your key responsibilities as a Senior PHP Developer will include to:
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead and other developers in building and delivering the product roadmap
- Responsible for designing and developing web-based applications and integrating with related backend systems
- Assist with technical direction to the team and be a key contributor to Product Development and Release Cycles
- Assist with maintaining the overall architecture for all systems/programs/initiatives
- Implement object-oriented design principles and patterns
- Develop highly performant, scalable & secure applications
- Be involved in defining and applying development best practices in a large distributed development team
- Help to build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Help to ensure a high standard of work through code reviews, coaching and management. Help set and enforce quality standards and best practices within the team
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other developers
- Implement and help determine strategies on how to reduce technical debt
- Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Assist with monitoring alerting systems and managing system alerts
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades & change control of infrastructure
- Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results
- Carry out other technical related duties that may be required
To join us as a Senior PHP Developer, you will need the following skills and experience:
- You must have 7+ years of experience and excellent knowledge of PHP
- You must have 7+ years of experience with PHP MVC frameworks, ideally Laravel
- You must have 7+ years experience in web technologies including JSON/XML, WebAPIs, RESTful APIs
- You must have 6+ years of experience with relational databases, e.g. MySQL
- You must have 7+ years of experience and strong understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
