As the Senior People Partner, Commercial, you are the primary People & Culture relationship owner for the Americas Commercial organization. Supporting approximately 150-200 employees and 20-30 leaders across multiple countries, you partner closely with the Vice President, Directors and managers to build high-performing teams while delivering an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. 

 

Working in partnership with the Strategic People Partner for Commercial, you execute the global Commercial people strategy within the Americas, translating business priorities into regional action while providing critical insights that shape future organizational decisions. 

 

You serve as the single point of contact for leaders and employees, coordinating specialized expertise across Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Total Rewards, People Operations, Legal and other People & Culture functions to deliver a seamless and consistent experience. 

 

This role is located in Lake Oswego, OR (hybrid 3 days a week in office) and will report to the VP of P&C Americas/ Strategic People Partner, Commercial. 

Job Responsibilities 

Business Partnership 

  • Serve as the trusted People & Culture advisor to Commercial Vice Presidents, Directors and managers across the Americas. 

  • Translate global Commercial people strategies into regional execution plans aligned with business priorities. 

  • Coach leaders on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, team performance and change management. 

  • Identify organizational trends, leadership opportunities and talent risks, providing recommendations that improve business outcomes. 

  • Partner with the Strategic People Partner to execute workforce planning, organizational design and Commercial initiatives within the region. 

  • Build trusted relationships across Commercial leadership while balancing business objectives with employee experience. 

 

Employee Lifecycle Ownership 

As the primary People & Culture relationship owner, you are accountable for delivering an exceptional manager and employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Working closely with Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Total Rewards, People Operations and other Tier 2 specialists, you ensure leaders and employees receive seamless support from attraction through transition. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring leaders throughout recruiting, selection and onboarding. 

  • Coach managers and employees on performance, development, career growth and internal mobility. 

  • Lead employee relations, workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters while coordinating specialized expertise when needed. 

  • Support promotions, organizational changes, workforce transitions and employee exits. 

  • Reinforce a culture of recognition, engagement, accountability and continuous development. 

  • Identify trends throughout the employee lifecycle and recommend improvements that strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee experience. 

 

Organizational Excellence & Program Execution 

  • Execute regional People & Culture priorities aligned with the global Commercial people strategy. 

  • Drive adoption of enterprise People & Culture programs, frameworks and annual processes, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, engagement and compensation planning. 

  • Monitor organizational health, leadership effectiveness and people metrics, providing insights and recommendations that improve business outcomes. 

  • Ensure consistent application of People & Culture practices while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across the Commercial organization. 

 

Cross-Functional Partnership 

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner while coordinating specialized expertise across Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Total Rewards, People Operations, Legal and other People & Culture teams. 

  • Ensure managers and employees experience a seamless, integrated People & Culture partnership regardless of which specialized teams are involved. 

  • Partner with Regional People Partners and the Strategic People Partner to share insights, best practices and organizational trends across the Commercial organization. 

  • Act as an advocate for the Commercial business while ensuring alignment with enterprise People & Culture strategies. 

 

Professional Qualifications: 

  • Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources or People & Culture experience, including business partnering within a complex, matrixed organization. 

  • Experience supporting senior leaders in Sales, Commercial, Technology or other customer-facing organizations. 

  • Demonstrated success coaching leaders through organizational change, performance management and employee relations. 

  • Strong understanding of organizational effectiveness, talent management and leadership development. 

  • Experience supporting multiple countries and working across different employment environments. 

  • Excellent coaching, consulting and influencing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels. 

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes.

What we offer:  

The annual salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000 Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone’s total compensation package. Additionally, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes medical/dental benefits, FSA or HSA, 401k with 6% Safe Harbor employer match, paid parental leave, generous PTO (20 days' vacation, 10 days paid sick time, and 12 company holidays), fully paid Short Term disability policy, fully paid Long Term disability policy, and Life Insurance.
