The Role & ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior People Operations Manager, you'll have a direct and tangible impact on our most critical asset—our people. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling our HR systems, programs, and processes. You will shape the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, and serve as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer. The ideal candidate executes with experience-provided insight, and will be proactive, practical, and get things done. Key accountabilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to build and implement the People Operations strategy, aligning it with strategic objectives and the company culture.
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee most aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave, performance management, and offboarding.
- Program & Policy Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve People programs, policies, processes, and resources to enhance the employee experience.
- HRIS & Systems Management: Own the administration and optimization of our HR tech stack. Ensure data integrity and leverage systems to automate processes and generate insights.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensure all People practices are compliant and mitigate potential risks.
- Data & Analytics: Use People data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of programs, and make data-driven recommendations to leadership.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, HR, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Strong command of HR technology platforms and experience in implementing HR tech systems.
- Experience in leading and scaling programs in high-growth or startup environments.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations across various states.
- You are comfortable operating at both a strategic level (planning and designing programs) and an operational level (accomplishing and managing day-to-day tasks).
- You possess a growth mindset and are driven by a dedication to continuous improvement.
- You are a proactive and creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, vibrant setting.
- You can handle complex situations with discretion and integrity.
- You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
This is a Hybrid position. We work in the office three days a week, and our office is centrally located in downtown Seattle.
The initial annual base salary range for this role is expected to be between $150,000 - $170,000. We benchmark every role to market data to ensure competitiveness; however, actual compensation is highly dependent on numerous factors such as experience, knowledge and skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
