What can you expect:
As a senior member of the pensions administration team, you will be the primary contact for clients with complex defined benefit (DB) schemes. This role offers responsibility, variety, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact by delivering timely, accurate administration and pragmatic guidance. You will combine deep technical DB expertise with strong client relationship skills, consistently meet SLAs and regulatory deadlines, mentor and develop junior colleagues, contribute to governance and process improvements, and lead or support ad-hoc projects.

Team size: Circa 11 Administrators and one Team Manager
We will count on you to:
- Manage a portfolio of premier Defined Benefit (DB) pension scheme clients as the primary day-to-day contact, delivering a consistent, high-quality service that meets client-specific service levels and compliance deadlines.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the client service team through on-the-job coaching, and structured training.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance on complex cases, to ensure strict compliance with agreed procedures.
- Lead or contribute to governance activities: internal audits, remediation tasks, data quality and projects.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, improve controls and enhance client experience - drive implementation of agreed process improvements.
- Present quarterly and annual administration reports at Trustee meetings.
- Support the DB Client Service team manager in daily running of the team, including workload allocation, quality controls and risk management.
What you need to have:
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in defined benefit (DB) pension administration
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven record of delivering high-quality customer service
- Collaborative team player with a flexible approach to work
- Consistently positive and proactive attitude that promotes a supportive team environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English required
