Overview
As a Senior Penetration Tester, you will be part of a specialized global team responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mitigating vulnerabilities across our technology stack. Reporting to the Head of Security Testing, you will take a leading role in delivering high-quality security assessments, guiding junior team members, and collaborating closely with multiple Information Security functions to ensure Sportradar’s global infrastructure remains secure and resilient.
The Challenge
- Lead and inspire. Work alongside a team of experienced offensive security professionals, providing expertise and mentorship to deliver high-impact security testing across Sportradar’s environment.
- Advanced penetration testing. Perform and oversee complex penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and red team exercises on systems, applications, and networks.
- Risk assessment & mitigation. Identify and evaluate security risks, and work closely with cross-functional teams to address the root causes of vulnerabilities.
- Stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote a security-first culture and adherence to best practices.
- Continuous improvement. Drive enhancements to testing methodologies, tooling, and processes to ensure our practices remain at the cutting edge.
- Compliance and reporting. Support regulatory and compliance requirements, producing clear, actionable reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Innovation & thought leadership. Stay informed about emerging threats, attack techniques, and industry developments to propose and implement innovative security solutions.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience in offensive security, penetration testing, or related cybersecurity fields.
- Proven track record in leading or coordinating penetration testing and red teaming engagements.
- Strong expertise in conducting complex penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools and frameworks, such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS, Burp Suite, Metasploit, and similar.
- Solid understanding of modern threat landscapes, attack methodologies, and defensive countermeasures.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical security findings into business-relevant insights.
Desirable Skills
- Relevant certifications such as OSCE, GPEN, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of secure development practices, especially in CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks.
- Experience in red team exercises and adversary simulations.
