Why this job is important
As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the payroll process for our Spanish operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. You will also cover payroll for Italy when needed. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English, with Italian language skills being a significant advantage
What you’ll be doing
- Collect, verify, process, file, and monitor monthly payroll information.
- Maintain accurate and concise payroll records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish payroll regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), social security (SILTRA), income tax (IRPF), and other local legal requirements.
- Process queries by monitoring tickets (ServiceNow) ensuring SLA is met.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and other statutory reports.
- Partner with external third parties and government agencies for social security administration, pensions, etc
The skills & experience needed as Senior Payroll Specialist
- Significant payroll experience and managing a high volume of monthly payrolls.
- Experience with the payroll program Integhro/SDWORX.
- Experience with Workday.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Italian payroll and legislation is a major bonus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Required languages: Spanish (Native or bilingual), English (Advanced), Italian (Advanced, highly beneficial)
