Your Impact 

In this role, you will contribute directly to the accuracy, compliance, and scalability of global payroll operations. As part of a high-performing payroll team, you will support the execution of domestic and international payroll processes while ensuring data integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements. 

You will play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy, supporting global tax compliance, and partnering across functions to deliver a seamless employee experience. This position offers exposure to complex payroll environments and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements as Axon continues to scale globally. 

You will also gain valuable experience working alongside accounting and payroll professionals, expanding your technical expertise and understanding of global payroll operations. 
 
Your Day-to-Day  

  • Support the preparation and processing of global payrolls, including regular and off-cycle runs 

  • Ensure payroll data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to meet quarter-end and year-end reporting and compliance requirements 

  • Assist in preparing payroll and benefits-related journal entries in alignment with accounting standards 

  • Respond to internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate documentation 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, and Finance to manage leave of absence tracking and payroll-related benefit impacts 

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to process employee changes and ensure compliance with local tax and labor regulations 

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, providing timely and professional support 

  • Assist with payroll administration related to expatriate and international assignments 

  • Contribute to payroll projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and documentation updates  

 

What You Bring

  • Experience in payroll processing or a related function 

  • Experience supporting payroll; exposure to international payroll is preferred 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and validate payroll data 

  • Foundational accounting knowledge or experience supporting payroll accounting processes 

  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups 

  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems 

  • Exposure to global payroll providers and multi-country payroll environments 

  • Understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and drive efficiency 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
