Job Description

About the Role

The Epworth Payroll Department is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to work on a full-time basis. You will report into the Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Manager and work in a team with eight other payroll employees, all responsible for a portion of the end-to-end payroll process.

You will make an impact by:

  • Checking of time sheet data within our rostering system (Time Target) including the running of several fortnightly reports
  • Reconciliation/verifying of payroll results and data
  • Responding to general payroll queries from employees via our on-line email ticketing service.
  • Ad-hoc reporting is required and shared amongst the team members.

You will have: 

  • Several years experience in a standalone payroll role, with full function knowledge and preferably within the Health Industry.
  • Experience using the Chris21 Payroll System.
  • Experience using a time and attendance system such as Time Target        
  • Excellent knowledge of payroll activities including calculating leave entitlements, superannuation, taxation and salary packaging
  • High attention to detail with accurate data entry skills when dealing with high volumes of timesheet data entry.
  • Extensive clerical experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Great customer service skills
