As a Originator at ACT Commodities in Singapore, you will work with the most interesting clients around APAC and beyond; each with their own set of exciting challenges. You will manage and grow your own portfolio, sourcing environmental certificates using your strong interpersonal skills and charming personality to gain your clients’ confidence and trust.

You will
- Formulate and implement trading strategies to maximize the sourcing and profit margins of REC and carbon product within the APAC market
- Conduct negotiations and finalize agreements for the acquired assets while adhering to the prevailing market rules and organizational guidelines
- Seek for new trading and arbitrage opportunities and build real business cases to test those ideas
- Work with the team to optimize the trading portfolio to generate extra margin
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and updates in domestic and international carbon emissions trading, green electricity, and environmental certificate markets, keeping up with new regulations, policies, and technological advancements.
- Identify suitable clients in the market.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Good English proficiency and ability to speak Thai/Vietnamese is a plus
- bachelor’s/master's degree, preferably in Energy, Environmental, Electricity, Business and/or other similar fields
- 6-8 years’ experience, minimum of 5 yrs experience in the power market, carbon/REC project development or carbon trading
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle constructive criticism and not afraid to fail and try again
- Aptitude for taking initiative, a commercial and creative mind with an entrepreneurial attitude
