Senior Oracle CPQ Developer 

Position Summary 

The Senior Oracle CPQ Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of Oracle Configure, Price, and Quote (CPQ) solutions within assigned business domains. This role partners with Product Offering Managers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver scalable CPQ configurations and integrations that enhance sales effectiveness and operational efficiency. 

The position requires strong hands-on technical expertise in Oracle CPQ (BigMachines), including configuration development, commerce processes, pricing logic, and system integrations. The Senior Oracle CPQ Developer independently delivers complex enhancements and supports ongoing optimization initiatives within the CPQ platform, including integrations with Oracle Sales Cloud CRM, Oracle EBS, PD/PIM, and related enterprise systems, in alignment with established enterprise architecture and integration standards. 

This role operates with limited supervision and contributes as an experienced technical individual contributor within the Applications Development team. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with business analysts and Product Offering Managers to gather and refine configuration and commerce requirements. 
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable CPQ solutions to support product configuration, pricing, approvals, and quoting workflows. 
  • Configure and maintain complex product models, including BOM-based configurations. 
  • Develop and maintain advanced pricing rules, approval routing logic, and commerce workflows. 
  • Build and support integrations between CPQ and CRM, ERP, and other enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP services, SOA, and file-based exchanges in alignment with approved integration patterns and architecture guidance. 
  • Support and enhance middleware/services developed in ASP.NET Core and C# in collaboration with integration and architecture teams. 
  • Contribute to API development and support integration monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization activities. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system stability and reliability. 
  • Create and execute test scripts to support enhancements and project initiatives. 
  • Support new product introductions by advising on configuration structure and system alignment. 
  • Provide informal mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. 
  • Ensure solutions align with established IT architecture, security standards, and governance policies as defined by enterprise architecture and leadership teams. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of CPQ performance, usability, and process efficiency. 
  • Document technical designs, runbooks, and integration contracts; contribute to knowledge sharing and reusability. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting Oracle CPQ (BigMachines) or comparable CPQ platforms. 
  • Strong expertise in commerce configuration, complex product configuration and BOM modeling, system configuration and data tables, advanced pricing rules and approval routing, and BML, BMQL, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, and CSS. 
  • Experience integrating CPQ with CRM and ERP systems. 
  • Experience supporting REST/SOAP integrations and collaborating with integration teams on middleware solutions. 
  • Experience with SOA architecture and middleware integrations. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to independently manage development tasks and deliver high-quality solutions within defined project scope. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Oracle Sales Cloud CRM, Oracle EBS, and PD/PIM. 
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms, Angular modules, SharePoint integrations. 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing product configuration processes. 
  • Experience with Nintex/K2 workflow platforms. 
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or modern data platforms. 
  • Experience working in Agile environments. 
  • Prior experience in secure API design, OAuth/JWT, and enterprise security standards.
