The Senior Oracle Consultant will lead and execute complex Oracle projects, offering expertise in system architecture, implementation, and optimization. They will collaborate with teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with organizational goals. Key objectives include driving efficiency improvements, ensuring system reliability and security, and mentoring junior team members. Success will be measured by timely delivery of high-quality solutions and driving continuous improvement in Oracle systems.
Roles & responsibilities
Consulting

Lead and execute complex Oracle projects, offering expertise in system architecture, implementation, and optimization

Providing expert guidance on Oracle technologies, including databases, middleware, and applications

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions

Driving efficiency improvements and ensuring system reliability and security

Mentoring junior team members and providing technical leadership

Staying updated on emerging Oracle trends and technologies

Delivering high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals
Business Development/Leadership/Strategy

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities related to Oracle consulting services

Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders

Providing strategic guidance to senior management on Oracle-related initiatives

Contributing to the development of service offerings and go-to-market strategies

Mentoring and developing junior consultants

Representing the organization at industry events and conferences

This split allows for a clearer understanding of the dual role the Senior Oracle Consultant plays in both consulting and business development/leadership aspects
Client Support

Respond to client support questions and requests via phone or email where necessary

Provide technical guidance

Comply with relevant firm and industry legislation and incorporate into practices and processes as relevant

Report all identified risks, breaches

Comply with relevant WH&S legislation, adhering to reasonable instructions, work procedures and practices to maintain the health and safety of the team

Special conditions

Ordinary full-time hours: 38 hours per week between 8am – 6pm
-
On occasion some out of hours work may be required – please note unpaid overtime may also be required on occasions
Selection criteria
Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management

Strong problem solving skills

Extremely organised and detail oriented

Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years in Oracle EBS or Fusion
-
Minimum 3 full life cycle implementation experience from blue print to go live for Financial or SCM or Manufacturing modules

Strong communication/partner skills with end-users with non-technical background

Functional expert in Oracle SCM with cross functional skills with Financial and/or SCM and/or Manufacturing

Oracle certification(s) strongly preferred

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Experience working on small fast paced project teams

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
-
Proven ability to define user requirements and corresponding system specifications, accurate time estimates and creation of clear and concise documentation

Willing to travel for oversea assignments
