Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Procurement Agent to join our Commercial Crew/Starliner team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Position Responsibilities - Senior Level 4:
  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues
  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies
  • Mentors other team members

Position Responsibilities - Lead Level 5:
  • Develops procurement and supply chain solutions, strategies and policies to support customer requirements
  • Develops and executes company strategic business goals and objectives
  • Consults on proposal analyses and development of negotiation strategies
  • Formalizes procurement requirements with customers and leads the supplier negotiation process
  • Prepares and executes negotiated documents
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Manages contract terminations
  • Develops organization and company improvement plans
  • Mentors other team members

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
  • More than 5 years of experience with cost proposal preparation on government contracts
  • More than 5 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
  • More than 5 years of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurements that exceed the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Lead Level 5: More than 10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • More than 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
  • More than 5 years of experience leading proposals, contract terms and conditions development, and negotiation efforts
  • More than 5 years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus type Government contracts, etc.

Typical Education/Experience:
Senior Level 4: Typically 10 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Lead Level 5: Typically 15 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range for Senior Level 4: $110,500 - $136,500
Summary pay range for Lead Level 5: $138,550 - $171,150
