We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Operations Support Engineer in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Strasbourg, France. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks:
- Manage high-severity and complex incidents across interconnected systems, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.;
- Lead technical investigations, root-cause analyses and post-incident reviews, ensuring that corrective and preventive actions are implemented;
- Define and refine monitoring strategies, establish performance baselines and thresholds, and optimise observability for proactive issue detection;
- Coordinate preventive-maintenance initiatives and environment optimization, ensuring compliance with the operational and security baselines;
- Validate deployment plans, rollback procedures and testing strategies in collaboration with DevSecOps and Database Administration teams.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, including at least 3 years in a senior operational role managing complex, cross-system incidents and problem investigations;
- Excellent experience in supporting containerized and cloud-native production environments;
- Excellent experience in ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event and Capacity Management;
- Excellent experience with Linux/Unix systems, container orchestration, and CI/CD integration(Github,Sonarqube,Git);
- Experience in scripting and automation for operational tasks;
- Experience with IAC tools like Terraform,, Bicep, Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform;
- Experience with containerization and orchestration Tools like Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift Container Platform,Helm and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana Elasticsearch;
- Experience in the operation and optimization of middleware and integration technologies, including API gateways, messaging, event-streaming, data transformation and identity-management platforms;
- Experience with perform capacity planning, performance trend analysis, and operational risk assessment;
- Experience with observability, logging and performance-monitoring tools;
- Strong understanding of automation frameworks, version control and artefact management solutions supporting operational efficiency;
- Strong communication, documentation and coordination skills, including the ability to lead technical incident bridges and stakeholder updates;
- In-depth understanding of the middleware and integration technologies, covering API management, data transformation, messaging, event streaming, identity and access management, web and mobile infrastructure, observability, and automation tools;
- Excellent command of the English language.
